Nevermind is a new brand from Adam Bryce(slamXhype) who working closely with Eric Elms(Supreme etc) and Fergadelic (Tonite, Paul Smith etc) will be releasing a wide variety of products through selected retailers.
The different products will be available in a quickstrike fashion. Meaning that the brand will be able to release relevant products in limited numbers at the right time for the designers. Not following traditional seasonal ranges.
Its a smart move to actually have the product in the store at the same time as the hype and we at HL are very much into supporting this new style of product release.
The first product is a T Shirt called ‘Smash Babylon Mind Control’ by Fergadelic and we will have it in stock and online any day now.

DC and SE Bikes have joined forces to release the Quadangle, a classic frame from SE’s stable. The “Looptail Quad” as it was known is the second release from the DC and SE partnership. The two brands also released a recreated PK Ripper in April 2007.

This time around the Quadangle has been recreated as a 24 inch cruiser making it a far more useable bike than the standard BMX size. This is the first time the Quadangle has been made in this size. Like the 1979 version it comes in Matte Black finish but this time custom DC X SE pads and head badge have been added.

The limited nature of the project means that less than 500 bikes are available worldwide through stores such as Huf, Brooklyn Projects, Leaders, Proper etc
There is one bike available for Norway and we have it in store right now.
When we first heard we were getting one of these bikes to sell we were super stoked as the pictures look so good. Now we have seen it for real we do not want to let it go. With a matte black finish and the extra size on a classic innovative frame design this makes for a truly useable collectors item. Come by the store and check it out for yourself.

I recently met up with Cherrystones and The Gaslamp Killer in London. Gaslamp was over for a few dates in the UK, he’s a ball of energy! I managed to get hold of one of one of these box sets he’s released with Mr Fairey. A beautifully packaged gatefold 7 inch and CD. The 7 has two tracks, A. Free The Robots “Clocks & Daggers”, B. Gaslamp’s “Show Stopper”. The CD has an hour long mix. It’s limited to 1000, so you might be able to get your hands on one. You can get some of the tracks from iTunes. News soon on a Mark James/Cherrystones collaboration.

This has to be the image of the year so far. After 9,000 years of silence, Chile’s Chaitén volcano is erupting with lava, ash and lightning. The little understood storms may be sparked when rock fragments, ash and ice particles in the plume collide to produce static charges, just as ice particles collide to create charge in regular thunderstorms. It’s sad to say, but I got really excited about this… The creators of the ubiquitous Post-it Note have improved this disposable yet indispensable piece of office stationery by introducing transparency. Sheer Colors, as 3M’s calling them, are a boon for anyone who has ever used Post-its as a book placeholder. They’re also good for anal bibliophiles who don’t care to mark pages with notes or highlighting. Thanks to CoolHunting for the info. Why are designers stationary fans? (I mean ‘Stationary’ – writing paper and other supplies, not ‘Stationary’ as in standing still. But saying that, I also like standing still?)
