Cecilie Ellefsen’s ‘In the Forest Deep’ exhibition which opened at Hunting Lodge on the 20th Sept has so far been a huge success. The exhibition which runs for a month had a excellent response/turnout at the launch and the superb window display has been stopping even the most dedicated kebab enthusiast on their way to ‘breakfast’ !

CTRL Fall is is store and its one of their strongest lines to date. The range has just the right amount of colour with some black and grey colour ways for the straight shooter. The fit on the Button and Zip Hoods has to be worth a special mention. Long and slim and pretty much perfect.

Diesel celebrates turning 30.

All the Samurai’s I know buy there swords on the shopping channel. Thats where they find the strength and quality that you need you need when your going head to head with some Ronin who’s called you out.
So they break when you lightly tap it on a wooden desk. What do you expect for $44.

The first part of Mishka Fall is in store and its looking damn fine. Some strong graphic prints like the one featured and new plaid shirts make up the range which has an overall rugged look to it. We have been running with plaid shirts for a while now but when they look this good we just can’t resist.

Hunting Lodge are pleased to announce the launch of our in-store art program.
“In the Forest deep” an exhibition featuring the the artwork of  Cecilie Ellefsen will run from September 20th – October 18th. The opening reception will be Saturday September 20th at 12.00 Midday. At the same time we will be introducing a new space at Hunting Lodge titled ‘Hide’.
Cecilie Ellefsen (b.1977) is one of Norway’s finest illustrators and an accomplished artist in her own right. Working out of the highly respected Commando Group in Oslo Norway she has been working as a designer since 1997, and illustrator since 2002.
She has previously exhibited her work in Singapore, San Francisco and Berlin, and this will be her first solo exhibition in Norway.
Growing up in a rural part of Norway, nature and animals have always inspired her.  “In the Forest deep” is the feeling of finding that secret childhood forest with enchanted critters, hollow trees, traps, treasures and hideaways.
As you can see from the layered paper cut poster(above) it is going to be a superb exhibition so please come along and check it out for yourself.

OBEY Clothing, based upon the work of artist and designer Shepard Fairey, has teamed up with seminal Hip-Hop group Public Enemy to release a collection of clothing and a fine art print that reflects the look and culture of early Hip-Hop.
Some words from Mr Fairey:
Public Enemy is my favorite, and in my opinion, the most important hip hop group of all time. I became interested in the group after reading a Thrasher magazine review of their first album which described Public Enemy’s music as “the new punk”. I was into punk and hardcore all through middle school and high school, but by 87-88 I was feeling they had run their course. I liked the Beastie Boys (who had coincidentally originally been a hardcore band) and RUN DMC, but not until Public Enemy did I feel Hip Hop was the new punk. I love Public Enemy’s first record: Yo, Bum Rush The Show, but it was only the warm up for the sonic and lyrical firestorm of It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back and Fear of a Black Planet. Those records are must have classics and showed P.E. to be one of the most important forces in music, politics, and culture of the late 20th century. Public Enemy have continued to tour and put out great records for the last twenty years. Chuck D, the group’s founder is an author, activist, and lecturer as well. Public Enemy has been a huge inspiration for me. My design studio (Studio Number One) was named after the song Public Enemy Number One from which the group’s name was derived. The photo the print is illustrated from is by Glen E. Friedman. Glen shot the first two Public Enemy album covers as well as covers for LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, Minor Threat, among others. Glen’s book FUCK YOU HEROES is a must have. I am incredibly honored to to be able to bring Public Enemy,Glen E Friedman, and Obey together for this collaboration.
