Some pictures of the new store build/restoration. In a 100+ year old building there are always going to be lots of surprises along the way. And this one was in pretty bad shape after years of cover up jobs, so it ended up taking 4 months to complete with most of the work done by ourselves and a few friends. Part of our agreement with the landlord was that we restored it back to its original state wherever possible. So that meant stripping it back to the bear bones and starting from scratch. It is a really beautiful old building so we really felt we had to to the building justice, with most of the time spent on restoration rather than renovation.
